Suppose that part of the industrial facility in your SLP is under construction or remodeling. Workers are commonly complaining about chronic back pain. Many are loosing work days due to back injury. Although they routinely perform tasks involving heavy physical labor, during the construction period, you are unsure about their level of physical activity at home and outside of work. You would like to be certain that injuries are work-related, because he may have fallen at home. Or, the back pain could be rooted in some other cause.
Assignment: Your task for this SLP is to:
- Explore the factors that you would take into consideration in making your determination that the back-related musculoskeletal disorder is work-related, and
- Design a program to reduce these injuries in your construction workers.
SLP Assignment Expectations
Use information from your module readings/articles as well as appropriate research to support your paper.
Length: The SLP assignment should be 2 pages long (double-spaced).
References: At least three references must be included from academic sources (e.g., peer-reviewed journal articles). Required Reading is included.
