At a small takeout restaurant there is a single walkup window (i.e., the order window in Figure 1), where customers place their orders, pay, and receive their food. The interarrival time of customers to the restaurant is E(6) minutes. Ordering the food and making payment takes E(3.5) minutes for each customer, while picking up the food takes another E(5) minutes. Only one customer can be served at the window at a time. The queue in front of the walkup window (i.e., the order queue in Figure 1) can only accommodate up to 5 customers. If the order queue is filled to capacity when customers arrive, the customers bypass. (Baseline Model)
