2. The following set of data is for the number of mosquito bites on the left arm of 16 volunteers in a trial of three specifically chosen insect repellents and an untreated control.

(a) Do the data appear to require transformation before using a single-factor ANOVA to compare the four treatments?

(b) What transformation would you recommend?

(c) Carry out the transformation. Has it made the data suitable for analysis?
