Question: Simulates the received radar signal after down conversion to intermediate frequency, but before matched filtering.

Simulates ASR-9 (like) radar system

a) Antenna beam pattern (ideal shape) and rotation

b) Staggered PRF (3 PRI's) with 18-pulse CPI

c) Unmodulated pulse

d) Includes thermal noise

e) Includes doppler effects due to target motion

f) Does not include ground clutter nor interference.

g) Includes selected target profiles that are hidden from the user,
i.e., range, height, heading, velocity, trajector

Simulation returns a set of fast time samples at a rate specified by the user. Some checks are made to ensure Nyquist sampling.
