Learning outcome 1: Demonstrate a systematic understanding and critical appreciation of theoriesand models of creativity, innovation and change management in the context of contemporary organisations.
Learning outcome 2: Synthesise individual and organisational theoretical perspectives tosystematically promote the potential for creativity, innovation and change inpractice.
In this unit you will develop a critical appreciation of the opportunities to promote creativity and innovation in your work organization and the associated challenges. Identification of opportunities and challenges requires a focus on the literature and demands critical analysis and evaluation of external (e.g. the competitive landscape) and internal issues (e.g. individual blocks and organisational barriers). Critical analysis must focus on your work organization, its competition and business environment.
Part 1. You will need to demonstrate a systematic understanding and critical appreciation of the process of creativity andinnovation and the challenges, drawing on contemporary theories to support your evaluation andsynthesis.
Part 2. You will critically analyse and evaluate your work organization, its competition and business environment blocks and draw sensible conclusions that become the basis for feasible recommendations to drive growth and development in your work organisation.
Part 3. You will need to include an in-depth critical analysis in the context of your work organisation supported by quality academic sources introduced in guided learning and extended through independent research, critically evaluating alternative contemporary perspectives in order to draw meaningful conclusions and develop feasible recommendations.
Part 4. You will present your analysis and plan in report format of approximately 1,500 words excluding references and appendices. Concise report writing is an important business skill. You will need to do the analysis in the context of your organization before you start to write the report.
