A piston-cylinder device initially contains steam at 200 kPa and 200C. A linear spring is touching the piston but exerts no initial force. Heat is then added causing the pressure to rise to 500Kpa and a volume of 0.6m3. Show the process on a P-v diagram and determine (a) the final temperature, (b) the work done by the steam during the process, and (c) the total heat transferred.
