A semi-infinite nonconducting rod is located on the x-axis from x=0 to x=infinity. The rod has a uniform charge per unit length (lamda). Show that the electric field at point P:(0,-R) makes an angle of 45 degrees with the rod and that this result is independent of the distance R.
