Question: First, find a clip from a show or film on YouTube of an interpersonal relationship that exemplifies each of the relational dialectics mentioned in your textbook (integration-separation, stability-change, expression-privacy). You should have three clips total, one for each relational dialectic. You may not use the ones already given to you in lecture or your readings. Be sure to copy and paste the link in your assignment and give a brief description of the clip.
Second, in your opinion, which strategy for managing dialectical tensions would be the most effective for each clip you found? Refer back to your textbook on strategies for managing dialectical tensions to assist you (denial, compromising, alternate, accept).
To better assist you, here are the relational dialectics explained:

Autonomy-Connection Dialectic: This dialectic is about finding a balance between maintaining one's individuality and fostering a sense of togetherness with the partner. Couples must negotiate how much time they spend together and apart, as well as how much they share their lives while preserving their own identities.

Openness-Closedness Dialectic: In relationships, individuals want to be transparent and honest with each other, but they also recognize the importance of boundaries and protecting their personal space. Striking a balance between being candid and preserving a sense of mystery is a key challenge in this dialectic. Couples must navigate how much they reveal about themselves and how much they keep private.

Predictability-Novelty Dialectic: On one hand, people value stability and routines as they provide a sense of security and familiarity. On the other hand, they also crave novelty and new experiences to keep the relationship fresh and exciting. Finding a balance between routine and adventure is important to prevent relationships from becoming too mundane or too chaotic. Couples need to negotiate how they introduce new activities or experiences while still maintaining a stable foundation.
