Problem

After reading the essays in Ch. 20in They Say/ I Say, "Are We in A Race Against the Machine," see if any of our readings follow the organization for a Rogerian Argument. We want to start with the intro (thesis follows in academic writing), opposition, middle ground, author's position, and mutual benefit to both sides to follow the author's position.

Options (your DB will develop one of these prompts):

A. An essay you read does follow the organization. Show how each element is followed and explain your reasoning. Make sure you develop your points and textually support your claims.

B. We have no essay that follows this organization. Look at the topics the essays are writing about and consider audience and purpose. Pick one essay and show why this Rogerian Argument format would not work.
