Throughout our discussion of Robinson's seminal work, we referenced how the different iterations of global jihad struggled to either maintain operations, or recruit any personnel. Much of the jihadi movement, moreover, was marked by intra-group conflict and fractiousness. With this backdrop in mind, was, or is, global jihad a threat to Western stability? As a western nation, should we be concerned with this brand of terrorism moving forward into the future? Could we have successfully thwarted the 9/11 attacks had we assigned more importance to them? In the end, should we at all be concerned with global jihad as an existential threat?
