Should more gun control laws be enacted

Gun control, often known as guns regulation, refers to the body of laws and regulations that govern the production, sale, transfer, possession, modification, or use of firearms by civilians. The majority of nations in the world permit people to purchase weapons with certain limitations. Having this kind of regulation will always have positive and negative impact to the society. For me, no matter how many gun control laws are in place, if they are not enforced, individuals will still find a way to defend themselves. We must acknowledge that these weapons are being used by bad individuals to commit crimes. Based on ProCon.Org, he biggest overall and per capita number of weapons in the world is found in the United States, where there are 120.5 guns for every 100 residents, or around 393,347,000 guns. Aside from that other countries experience mass shooting and many innocent live are being affected because gun control is being regulated. The majority of industrialized nations have tough and uncontested firearms laws.

In other places, it is a contentious political issue that pits those who see it as vital for maintaining public safety against those who see it as a risky restriction on personal freedom. Just like, Michael Bloomberg founded the Everytown for Gun Safety 2014 in New York and the Brady Campaign Policy. Gun controls should be regulated properly, because we can become a secure place for all people and prevent guns from falling into the hands of those tempted to make poor decisions by tightening gun control regulations. Everytown for Gun Safe is a group that has been promoting a particular, if not wholly radical, legislative agenda that calls for increased background checks for prospective gun owners, legislation to prevent domestic abusers from having access to firearms, and stricter gun-trafficking regulations. It has a political action committee as well, which backs and opposes different congressional candidates. For instance, restrictions put in place in 1993
that prohibit soldiers from carrying guns resulted in a mass shooting that claimed the lives of
many soldiers. There should be additional controls, but the soldiers who defend our nation also have a right to self-defense (Stockman). Maybe some people now how to use gun properly because for them a handgun ban eliminates their best option for self-defense because handguns are by far the best sort of weapon. But how about those people who are quick temper. Examples are these murderers ultimately shot themselves in the head and committed suicide. It may be argued that the issue with these mass shootings isn't the guns themselves, but rather the perpetrators. And sure, it is a terrible act, and these people should be held accountable for it, but in recent years there has been a proportionate increase. Or the government should make a way on how this gun control should be done, buyers of gun should have important requirements to
acquire this thing because in America, there are about 60% of all gun sales that do not include any background checks. The argument for stricter gun laws in the US is that doing so will prevent gun deaths and reduce crime, while the argument against them is that it will prohibit legislation citizens from protecting themselves against criminals with guns. The Brady Campaign promotes legislation while also calling for the government to uphold different existing laws. Parents of one of the 2012 Aurora shooting victims sued businesses that sold ammo to James Holmes with the help of attorneys from the Brady Center; the case was dismissed, and the plaintiffs were required to pay the defendants' legal fees.

The consequences of having control are in areas where gun ownership has increased, violent crime has decreased most significantly. Gun ownership is frequently linked to the horrific violence that occurs in communities across the nation, particularly in those with high poverty rates, which makes it more challenging to prevent crimes involving guns. Kids may easily get these firearms because they can see where their parents store them, which is a disaster waiting to happen. Background checks are one issue on which a lot of political personalities disagree. In America, there are about 60% of all gun sales that do not include any background checks. When the only requirement is that you pass a background check, it's not really a thorough background check. We might have been able to stop these recent mass shootings if we had conducted more thorough screening. Mass shootings involving firearms are so common that the vast majority of them go unreported by major media sources. Those that happen to be significant or despicable enough to garner national attention, such as the murder of 49 people in an Orlando nightclub in 2016 and the shooting deaths of 20 children and six adults at a primary school in Newtown, Connecticut, in 2012, usually spark a fleeting and pointless discussion about the necessity of stricter gun control. Gun restriction prevents law-abiding persons from utilizing weapons for self-defense, which benefits criminals.

The problem of gun control must also take into account the effects on people who have been traumatized by such violence because more than 25% of children have witnessed an act of violence in their homes, schools, or community in the past year, and more than 5% have witnessed a shooting based on CWLA.Ogr. Violence exposure has very substantial effects on a child's development. Many kids struggle with anger and violence because they don't know how to resolve conflicts without using violence. A large portion of this aggressiveness and violence is made worse by emotional exhaustion brought on by exposure to violence. Due to the developmental effects of their repeated exposure to trauma, children and teens who are exposed to violence frequently struggle to recognize and manage their emotions. They frequently repress their feelings, which can subsequently manifest as anger and violence. The prevalence of childhood mental health issues is projected to rise. They must engage vigorously to educate the public about childhood mental illness as they are seeing a substantial increase in the number of children and young people with mental health issues. Children and teens who are affected by mental health issues suffer because of the ongoing stigma associated with mental illness and the public's reluctance to talk about it.

Sum up it up, gun control should be regulated properly and needed to study and observed well before it being accepted as legal. It may be beneficial for self-defense but how about the young ones that are being exposed in this kind of society. It is too much of a task for any one entity or organization to prevent young exposure to violence and to reduce the effects of prior experience. Agencies involved in child welfare, preventive, and mental health cannot address this issue on their own. We should encourage communities to take ownership of children's and youth's welfare. Collaboration from educators, principals, social workers, police officers, doctors, parents, friends, and other stakeholders is necessary to address the harmful effects of violence on children and youth. Each person has a part to play in reducing violence through community action and legislative campaigns, mitigating its effects through emotional support, and screening for exposure to violence.
