Read the two course text books: A Short History of Progress by Ronald Wright, and The Truth About Stories by Thomas King.

For each book, select a specific situation or dilemma presented in the book. Similarly, create (or select) a specific situation that you would expect to encounter in your career path. Draw a parallel between the two situations; explain how the themes presented in the book and the specific situation you identified in the book would be translated into your professional scenario.

Each reflection should be no more than 800 words.

Only one of the reflections will be graded, but this will be randomly selected.

Some notes to help you out:

- Try discussing your ideas with others or "free-writing" before settling on a final topic/structure.

- Make sure you're clear on your "main point" - what is your intended impact?

- If it was noteworthy to you, it likely is interesting to others too , so try to figure out why you thought it was cool - going deeper is usually more interesting than simple observations.

- Consider taking your "finished writing" to a writing clinic or coach and getting some feedback on how to improve it. Likely you'll find that this "finished" draft can be improved a lot.
