Read the following short case of Pixar and use (a) one "needs" motivation theory; and (2) one "process" motivation theory to explain how they can motivate Pixar's employees.

"John Lasseter, a co-founder of Pixar, guides the creative inspiration of Pixar.  He maintains that good animated filmmaking is more about good storytelling than it is about innovative technology. Pixar makes films with stories that both make people laugh and graph their emotions. Technology helps to tell the story; it supports and enhances creativity. As a result, Pixar has resulted in widespread acclaim and numerous film industry awards, such as the Oscar Academy Awards.

Pixar employees are happy about these awards. In addition, the employees enjoy a campus-like environment which has a gym, a swimming pool, a soccer field and volleyball courts.  The Pixar University also provides educational opportunities for all employee and to encourage collaboration among them.  The University aims to "raise the level of the best, cross-train and develop mastery.  The courses allow creativity and prevent burnout."
