Question: Sheila is a senior manager in a retail chain. The company has been experiencing financial difficulties and a couple of layoff rounds. It is in the process of being acquired by another firm, and some of the employees' everyday tasks need to change. Employees need to deal with new procedures and more challenging demands.

The following questions do not have one correct answer. You may make additional assumptions and explain them as you consult Sheila:

1. Which leadership style/type or a combination of styles would you recommend for Sheila while leading her employees? Explain your choice. Provide TWO examples of leadership behaviors based on your chosen style/styles - briefly apply these behaviors to the scenario described.

2. While leading her employees through these times, Sheila would need to exert power and influence to get her employees to comply with changes and stick with the company.
