Mrs. Tate is a 38-year-old female who presents with c/o dysuria, urgency, and increased frequency of urination for past 2 days. She denies hematuria, flank pain, urinary incontinence, fever/chills, or nausea/vomiting. Denies abdominal pain, but states she feels "pressure" in the suprapubic area for the past 24-hours. States she feels she empties her bladder completely. Denies vaginal discharge, itching, or irritation in the vaginal area. States she had similar symptoms about two years ago which was diagnosed as cystitis. She states she is in a mutually monogamous relationship. She has no significant past medical history except for a hysterectomy at age 35 for fibroids. Does not take any daily medications. NKDA She works full-time as an RN, is married and has two children. She denies smoking or illicit drug use. She drinks socially, about 1-2 glasses of wine/month. Her family hx is positive for HTN and hyperlipidemia.
