Basic Presentation Information
The oral presentation assignment is an education/training session in which you will share your knowledge with and provide training for your classmates in your area of expertise.
The workshop should be creative & interesting. You should enjoy planning and presenting this workshop and your classmates should enjoy what you are presenting. It is not only a group lecture on the topic, but rather an interactive learning experience for yourself and your classmates. Your presentation will go beyond the scope of the content & materials discussed in class and your textbook. You will explore outside resources and applications.
What literary devices does the author use to create meaning: figures of speech, symbolism, allusion, sensory description, etc.? What issues or themes seem the most important, and what details support them?
Using the definition essays you read as examples, write a 500-word definition essay about a topic of your choice. You may consider one of the following: What is a hero? What is a good parent? What is an ethical choice?
Is the Internet a disruptive technology in the education industry in general? And for Ivey's School of Information Management in particular?
Write an essay the article about "Children Need to Play, Not Compete" by Jessica Statsky.
How are these two figures related? From the play Quetzalcoatl by Luisa Hernandez - Do they relate in how they represent the Hispanic culture?
The story shows the before and after of the revolution. What are some of the before and after changes displayed through out the story that demonstrate the changes in American life caused by 1776?
