Question 1. State the problem statement (often found in the abstract or the paragraph right before the methods section of the article).

Question 3. State the research question. If there is none, write one based on the problem, and remember it should be a question
Question 4. Identify the study variables: classifying them as independent (IV), dependent (DV), or extraneous.
To identify each variable, provide them in a list and use the notations:
IV1 (for example - IV1 gum chewing)
IV2 (for example - IV2 no gum chewing)
DV1 (for example - DV1 time to first flatus)
and so on...
Question 5. Share the theoretical or conceptual frameworks discussed in the article, including the pages in the article where presented (e.g. Social Cognitive Theory (p. XX), Health Belief Model, p. XX).
