Some proponents of creation science draw upon several areas of inquiry including geology and biology to support their claims that the Earth and the life on it were created between 6000-10,000 years ago. For example, they point to continental drift and the Grand Canyon as evidence for the great flood described in the Old Testament. And creation scientists also point to such figures as Isaac Newton who believed the biblical account of creation. However when presented with modern evidence such as that from radiocarbon dating of rocks and fossils that clearly indicates the Earth is much older, they point out that samples are sometimes contaminated leading to erroneous findings. When it is pointed out that today's biodiversity could not have come from the number of animals saved from the great flood on Noah's ark, they advance that the genetic code of the animals saved contained a genetic program that rapidly evolved them over 3-4 centuries after the flood.

Is creation science junk science, or pseudoscience? Briefly explain your reasoning.
