This week you began your internship in business management and worked to become familiar with the expectations of the course as well as the employer who will supervise your internship. This assignment will require that you set goals for your performance on the internship that will help you measure your success at the end of the experience.

In this assignment, you will establish goals for yourself as you complete the internship. Goals may be of a professional, academic or personal nature and should follow the SMART principles of being specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and timely.

Include the following in your paper:

List two goals that you wish to achieve as part of your internship. Write each goal in a complete sentence and refer to the five criteria for SMART goals listed above.

Next, prepare a paragraph that explains what you think you will do or are doing already that will lead you to that goal.

Then explain why you think that achieving this goal will be important to your career success.
