Your friend was a serious athlete and now must retire due to an injury. They decide to start a gym, and since they know that you are studying at University and asks for your support in setting up the HR parts of the new gym. They tend to be impatient with a lot of rules and they like things to happen quickly. For this reason, you must provide good reasons for them to adopt your recommendations.

You recommend to your friend that one of the staff should be paid to arrive early and shovel the snow away from the door and put sand on any ice. They should also mop the floor inside the door if it is wet from snow. Your friend objects that this will raise the staffing costs, and besides, it doesn't snow every day.
