You perform the following serial dilution of a bromophenol blue dye solution: you take 2 μL of the dye solution and add to it 48 μL of water. You then take 5 μL of this diluted solution and combine it with 995 μL water and measure the absorbance at 591 nm in a 1 cm cuvette using a spectrophotometer. The absorbance value is 0.103. The molar absorption coefficient of bromophenol blue dye at 591 nm is 72,800 M-1cm-1 and its molecular weight is 670 g/mol. What is the percent (%) concentration of the undiluted dye solution? Show all your work.
