CEO Salil Parekh. Salil Parekh was born in 1965 in a Hindu family and the father’s name is Satish parekh. Salil was graduated in New York as a B Tech engineer. Salil is married and has 3 sons. His hobbies are reading as well as writing the books. He has around 30 years of experience working with well-known organisations. He has worked in companies like Ernst & young, Goldman Sachs, Merill lynch & 25yrs served Cap Gemini and after that he became the Chief Operating officer for Infosys which is India’s biggest IT giant. Parekh served as partner for Ernst & young and in Capgemini he served various roles like he has been the Head of Cloud Infrastructure and also led by being the head of Asia-pacific, North America and United Kingdom. Since he has very good experience in IT sector which made him the strongest candidate to be the CEO for Infosys. Salil Parekh is known for a statement “ Stay calm, Don’t Panic” approach to Leadership. Also parekh believes on below lines, Difficult to solve the problem without accepting it Be truthful to yourself and your people Look outside not inside Hire good people and remove non performing manage Salil is a good leader and understand the business very well. Parekh is a customer facing person and he know how to handle people and take the team along with him for success. Since he has been a people centric person and does not create too much distance between a Leader and team members it becomes very easy for people to go ahead and talk to him, share their views which is very much required in service oriented companies. He also has enormous experience being in leadership role in different departments of Capgemini, parekh learnt how to deal in the market, how to tackle the client and bring business and he always believed in keep more cash and spend on acquisition to expand the business. These are the main qualities which enabled him to be a good leader. Parekh states there are many qualities which a leaders should possess. They are, Leader should never panic. Be Calm, stay focussed to face the challenge Spread the positive vibes in the company Always communicate with everybody in the company.
