Self- efficacy develops from four kinds of experiences according to Bandura. The four kinds of experience for the self-efficacy are mastery experience, social modeling, social persuasion, and psychological responses. We begin to form our sense of self-efficacy in early childhood by dealing with various experiences, tasks, and situations. However, the growth of self-efficacy does not end during youth but continues to evolve throughout life as people acquire new skills, experiences, and understanding. (Cherry, 2022) I do agree with these four experiences. I grew up with my mom and as a single parent I saw her do many things alone. She was a hard worker, very organized, a great cook and also very clean. I feel like I picked up on many things she did because now I'm a single parent and there is not anything I wouldn't do for my kids. I am a hard worker and i am organized. The way my mom showed us how to clean is something that has always stayed with me. My mom never said bad words, she went to church, and I never saw her drink or smoke. I do curse and say bad words, I don't go to church and I do like social drinking. So those habits I definetely did not get it from her. I do believe that we learn good and bad things from our parents. But as we grow I also feel like we take what we want from what they shown and taught us. What worked for them at that moment and time might not work for us. Also, my mom is very old school and I believe I am a lot more open minded than what she was at my age. But she is a very strong woman and I honestly feel like I get it from her.
