For this Assignment, you are required to write and submit a paper, using the Force Field Analysis for a conflict situation you are currently faced with, or a conflict situation that you have recently dealt with. To help organize the structure of this paper, students are to use and title each of the 8 Steps and a concluding paragraph as headings in the paper. Complete information and responses should be listed underneath each Step.

It is recommended that students use a personal conflict, as the communication of the 'parts' and the analysis thereof will be much easier than making up a conflict situation, or using a scenario outside of your experience. Conflict situations could be in the areas of family relations/concerns, employment/work environments, relationships, balancing school/work/family, etc. NOTE - for this assignment, conflict situations do not need to be traumatic; not getting along with a co-worker/roommate/partner or a family member, or trying to decide when to move/change positions, or how to work through challenging discussions/conversations all count as a conflict situation.

Ultimately, students are using the Force Field diagram to provide a reflective and concise model of their situation; therefore, it is imperative that you review the diagram, and work through how each of the 8 Steps are essential to this Model.

Ensure that this analysis includes all eight steps, and a concluding paragraph, as stated below. Students are expected to submit their own work and to proofread and edit their paper for correct grammar and sentence structure. Turnitin software is used for all submissions.

The intention of this activity/analysis is to provide you with an opportunity to work through self-challenging and creating agendas. This model may be applied to client situations and used as a framework to work through a challenging process with clients who are wanting to create action plans and agendas for change.
