Leadership is the foundation of every organization. Their job is to delegate, guide, and manage their peers. Leaders are put in place to mentor, connect, and lead the company to success. Leaders utilize certain practices to build a thriving organization. Those practices are model the way, inspire a shared vision, challenge the process, enable others to act, and encourage the heart.
Modeling the way is leading by example. Leaders should lead by setting the sample of what they would like to see in their peers. Leaders should be a reflection of the company's shared value (Scouller & Chapman, 2020).
Inspiring shared vision is having an idea or a concept and in manifesting it. When inspiring a vision, the leader is painting a picture of what they would love to see in the future.
Challenging the process is finding new ways to improve the organization. During these tough challenges, there will be several obstacles to overcome. Everything may fall apart, but the objective is to keep moving.
Enabling others to act is working together to get the job done. Leadership consists of networking, partnerships. No one person can get the job done.
Encouraging the heart is recognizing the contributions of individuals through showing appreciation. Celebrate all accomplishments regularly (Scouller & Chapman, 2020).
