Recommendation, and critique for better company's performance on your selected areas should be provided. Students are allowed to choose any two management areas from the following five areas: Strategic Planning (market/firm analysis), Project management, Management of technological change, Management of engineering design, Management of production operation, and Management on environmental concerns. Your group may pick up a company from one of the following industries for evaluation:
1. Power Generation & Utilization (e.g. CLP, MTR)
2. Construction (e.g. Gammon, Hip Hing)
3. Appliances (Personal Computer, Digital Camera, etc, e.g. Goodway)
4. Any industry or company as approved by lecturer (The selected company must involve high- technology, and/or engineering product research, and/or design, and/or manufacturing)
(e.g. Kerry logistics)
Expected Learning Outcomes:
- Perform tasks in an organization related to organizing, planning, leading and controlling project and process activities (Supporting PILO: PAK.A7 and POW.B2).
- Select appropriate management techniques for improving organizational structures, work procedures, and quality performance of operational tasks (Supporting PILO: PAK.A7 and POW.B1).
- Analyze the factors that affect changes in the work environment, and be aware of the approaches in implementing change in an organization (Supporting PILO: POW.B1 and POW.B3).
- Be aware of the imperatives of ethical and business behaviors in engineering organizations in a fast-changing business environment (Supporting PILO: POW.B3).
Guidelines:

1. Group Information Form (softcopy): Groups are allowed to study the same company, provided that the two selected management areas MUST be DIFFERENT. Otherwise, the subject leader will request the other group(s) to change their selected management areas and even the company, which was based on their submission time, i.e. on a first-come-first-served basis.
2. Project Report (both hardcopy and softcopy): maximum 20 pages of A4-sized paper (excluding cover page, content page, references and appendices), 12 pts Times New Roman.
3. Project Presentation (both hardcopy and softcopy): maximum of 40 PowerPoint slides (hardcopy: 6 slides per page)
4. Peer Evaluation Form (each member, hardcopy or softcopy)
