Question: "Day and night are phenomena caused by the rotation of the Earth on its axis. The Earth rotates approximately once every 24 hours from west to east. This rotation causes the alternation between day and darkness. As the Earth rotates, different parts of its surface either face toward the Sun or away from the Sun. The direction of sunrise and sunset is determined by two main factors: the Earth's rotation and its axial tilt. The Earth rotates from west to east. As a result, the Sun appears to rise in the eastern of the sky and set in the western of the sky for most observers on the planet. This is because the side of the Earth facing the Sun experiences daylight, while the side facing away from the Sun experiences darkness. The axis of rotation is tilted 23.5 degrees relative to its orbit around the Sun. This tilt causes the Sun's apparent path across the sky to shift throughout the year. As the Earth orbits the Sun, different hemispheres are tilted either towards or away from the Sun, leading to variations in the direction of sunrise and sunset during different seasons. Causes of seasons from the combination of the Earth's axial tilt and its orbit around the Sun. The Earth's axis tilt is a significant factor in seasonal changes. When a hemisphere tilts toward the Sun, it receives increased direct and concentrated sunlight, leading to elevated temperatures and longer daylight hours. As the Earth orbits the Sun, its axial tilt remains relatively fixed in direction. This means that the northern or southern hemisphere is tilted closer to the Sun at different times of the year. This causes the transition between the four seasons: spring, summer, fall, and winter. There are several pieces of evidence to determine the changing seasons, such as temperature change, daylight hours, plant behavior, and animal activity. Temperatures gradually increase or decrease as the seasons transition from winter to spring or from summer to fall. When spring approaches, the days become longer, sunrises earlier, and sunsets later. For example, the blooming of spring flowers or the changing color of leaves in fall are significant signs of the changing seasons. Seasonal changes often affect animal behavior. For instance, the migration of birds in the fall is a sign of the approaching winter season."
