Question: Assume if you were working with an organism like Arabidopsis, Drosophila, or any diploid organism that needs to use sexual reproduction to produce offspring, you would not be able to simply mutagenize organisms and screen them directly for a phenotype. Describe briefly what you might need to do to screen for mutants caused by an autosomal recessive mutation that affects a visible, non-essential, phenotype. (Assume that it's fairly straightforward to treat organisms with a mutagen such as UV or EMS)
