The science of medicine has greatly evolved these past few years, where as a society, we have been able to witness how the pandemic furthered medicine to gather enough research and guidance to allow the use of the SARS-CoV-2 vaccines, but also for the development of Beyfortus, a new monoclonal antibody immunization, used for the prevention of Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) in neonates and infants. As a DNP student, I'd like to further my research, specifically towards neonates to allow change for more effective treatments and welcome guidance in understanding the vast majority of each neonatal disorder. With more obtainable knowledge, I would refine working methods, increase quality improvement, and enable and support the process for a system-level change to build a strong foundation for these high-risk neonates and their families.
