Rebecca Melendez Think about your family and schooling experiences and assumptions about supervisees. Describe how these factors may influence your supervision. When I think about being in school and the experiences that I had about how the school was run and all that. I really didn't think about it much. I was a pretty good student didn't get into trouble, and I had pretty good grades. But on the other hand my sisters where always getting into some kind of trouble at school. I believe the way we can be more understanding about what happens in a supervisual role is by reflecing on our own experiences and what we did when we were in school. Using our own perception and life situation to evaluate problems and what should be done next. One thing that I have learned is that no situation will ever be the same and what worked with one person might not have the same effect with the next. We all have different styles of what we use to handle different types of situations that may come up from verbal to non-verbal communication, independent or dependent work ethics, respect, and time management.
