Describe your independent variable (the cause), and your dependent variable (the effect). If you feel like you do not have both, they you need to alter your research question to look at a cause-and-effect relationship. You will also include control variables as needed. Control variables are often used to ensure that the relationship that you are observing between the independent and dependent variable truly exists. Think of this as a second possible explanation for observing the effect you see.

Within your description, please include how you will measure your variable, including what level of measurement and how you will determine if the measures you have chosen are reliable and valid.

Finally, describe how you will obtain the necessary information to test your hypothesis by including a plan for data collection and sampling. You may have to describe some of your research design to justify your chosen sampling strategy.
