Question

A parent states to the nurse in the health care provider's (HCP's) office that they're frustrated regarding their school-age child's nightly enuresis for the past 3 years. The parent has limited the child's evening fluids, eliminated all caffeine and soft drinks from the child's diet, and has had the child wash their own sheets, but still the bedwetting continues almost every night. The spouse has said that they, too, wet the bed as a child, and thinks their child will "get over it." The parent is worried that it could negatively affect their child's peer relationships in the coming years of adolescence. Which action should the nurse take?
