Assessment 1: Article Summary

In this assessment, students are advised to choose a journal article either from Google Scholar or somewhere else and write a summary of 400 words about that Article. Bear in mind that every Journal article has its own abstract but if you just write that as it your plagiarism will be very high. If you must write the summary which can be distinguished from the original abstract of the article.

You must give the reference of the article that you have chosen please.

Assessment 2: Case Study

• This assessment is based on a case study. Students will be provided a case study by the lecturer via email during week 3. Case study may not be the same for everyone. Students are advised to read the case study thoroughly and answer the questions, located at the bottom of the case.
• You need to apply your critical thinking skills to answer the questions as the questions of the case study are not straight forward.
• You just write the question and answer that question of the case study.

Assessment 3: Applied Project

• Generate a Software Requirement Specification, (SRS Template) for the proposed IS System which must include
o Comparative analysis among various types of project management tools and hence propose your own tool that demonstrate your contribution.
o Discuss acquisition processes of the proposed IS System using some concepts such as SDLC etc.
o Functional and non-functional requirements of the system such as availability, security, infrastructure (when deciding to develop in house)
o Create and execute a test plan of the proposed system
• Word limit: 3000 words (excluding references and appendix)
