We will deal with a 1.50 g sample of a diatomic gas initially in 1.20 L balloon at 30.7 in Hg and27 degreesC.

Charles's law. You put this balloon in your freezer where it is -3.0 degrees C. When you open the freezer in half an hour, what do you expect to see - what will happen to the balloon's volume?.

(a) The volume of this balloon will (increase/decrease) (slightly/dramatically). In this experiment (pressure/temperature/amount of gas) (is/are) constant

(b) Calculate the new volume using the ideal gas law.
