Question

The book mentions that we used to think of children as little adults. Think of ways in which today we seem to be rushing human development. Address the practices of over-scheduling children in numerous daily activities and sports so that they have little "down" time; for example, (a) children's use of cell phones, (b) children's exposure to frightening world events, (c) children's exposure to adult concerns in their homes, (d) more and more children being at home alone before their parents get home, and (e) other ideas they might think of to demonstrate that children are living differently today than they did even 30 years ago.
