1. Hanham, Hodges and Bailey is a small rural medical practice covering approximately 40 square kilometres (approximately 15.5 square miles). The practice is made up of three doctors, three community nurses, four community midwives, two health visitors, two full-time receptionists and three part-time administration staff. Between them they run daily clinics between 9 and 5, they are open until 7 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and they run an on-call system with another practice at weekends. There are also different groups such as the Asthma group, Mother and Toddler, Mother and Baby, Early Years Sensory, Diabetes, Weight management.

2. The practice has just received a small government grant to improve its IT service to the rural community although there are restrictions on how the money is used. For example they are unable to use any non-NHS approved software. They are accountable to the NHS funding committee and will need to justify their actions.
