Can someone please confirm that when we use Excel to run a regression analysis, the intercept and slope coefficients that Excel gives are population parameters (as opposed to sample statistics).

Also, please clarify that if regression of Y on X has an R2(r square) of 0.80, then a regression of X on Y will have an R2 of 0.80 ? Or in other words Y on X has same R square as X on Y?
