Mrs. Smith is a 54-year old who recently suffers a stroke at home. She was moved into Rose Dale Long Term Care facility for recovery. Mrs. Smith has left sided weakness in her arms and legs and currently spends most of her time in bed. The care plan states that she is total assist with her ADL's. Mrs. Smith refuses to use an incontinent brief and ask to use the bed pan when she needs to be toileted. Mrs. Smith is one of your assigned patients and she just rang her call bell for assistance. Mrs. Smith requested to have a bath because she is expecting visitors today. As the PSW caring for Mrs. Smith you please demonstrate giving her a complete bed bath. Do not forget to offer her a bed pan before her bed bath. Document the care provided and your observation.
