The role in business according to Lizzie Lewis means the selling of goods and service for a profit with quality. For example, the IHOP franchise motto states "Come hungry, Leave happy". By using this as their motto, they have customers that return because of the quality of service and goods that IHOP provides. They also help the economy by providing job opportunities.

A for-profit organization and a non-profit organization are alike and dislike in many ways. A for-profit organization earns money in the sales minus their expenses such as how much they pay their employees. As with a non-profit their primary goal is making things better in the community rather that a financial gain. Non-profits and profit organizations are alike because they both employ people, take revenue, etc. An example of a non-profit would be the City Group at my daughter's school. This group of individuals' goal is to make a difference in kids' grades by helping them with their school work and making it fun as well.

Fiscal and monetary policy has a big impact on the economy today. The fiscal policy is designed to encourage growth, boost employment, and curb inflation. Basically, if taxes were lower then that means more money would go back into the economy to spend or invest. The monetary policy states that their actions to shape the economy by interest rates and the supply of money. They as a whole know where we as a nation stand with eh amount of money within the overall economy. This let's the Federal Reserve know when and if the economy is going or coming out of a recession.
