You work for a food company that is trying to launch in a new country. Your boss asks you to write up a proposal for mitigating potential political risks in that area. In your proposal, include a brief summary of the political risks that you identify, and then include your proposal to mitigate those risks.

You may make whatever other assumptions about the food business you wish to complete the exploration. You may also select any country that is one of the top 50 countries (1-50) in ranking from the Fund For Peace's Fragile State Index. 

Please provide trustable sources and literature to explore about. 

Types of Political Risk

  • Transfer risk - Risks associated with exporting and importing
  • Operational risk - Risks associated with the various operational mechanisms of the business
  • Ownership-control risk - Risks associated with the ownership and control over the business (or businesses in the case of subsidiaries, franchises, joint ventures, and outsourced and licensed businesses)
