A rigid tank is divided into two equal parts by a partition. One part of the tank contains 3.1 kg of compressed liquid at 400 kPa and 60 degrees Celcius while the other part is evacuated. The partition is now removed, and the water expands to fill the entire tank. Determine the entropy change of water during this process if the final pressure in the tank is 20 kPa.

Hydrogen to be ideal gas with constant specific heats : Hydrogen gas at 35ºC and unknown pressure (State 1) enters a steady, insulated system which has no work interaction with the surroundings. Half of the gas exits at 2 bars and 90ºC (State 2) and the other half exits at 2 bar and -20ºC (State 3).
What is the rate of entropy generation within the turbine : Air at 5 bar and 177°C (State 1) is expanded through a turbine to 1 bar and 27°C (State 2).
