This activity consists of making a written report in which you investigate and compare the most important labor laws of various countries.

1. Select 3 of the following 10 countries:

  • Spain
  • China
  • Mexico
  • Brazil
  • USA
  • Canada
  • Germany
  • Panama
  • Costa Rica
  • Argentina

2.Do some research on the Internet and on the ILO website on each country in order to find out how it works around the following aspects:

Rights recognized by the constitution for its workers.

Anti-discrimination protections established by your labor laws.

Rights of workers to organize collectively.

3.Then, make a report following the outline below:

Introduction (presentation of the selected countries and the reason for your selection)

Work development

You will investigate and expose what rights the constitution of these countries recognizes for their workers. Example: Right to organize, right to decent work, among others.

Anti-discrimination protections established by your labor laws. Example: Protection of children, women, age, among others.

What laws exist or what does the constitution of these countries establish about the right to organize collectively.

Conclusion of the work: At the end of your analysis, you will compare and establish which of the three selected countries offers the greatest labor protection to its workers.
