Sam, 47, presents with right ear pain describing it as "excruciating." The pain developed suddenly and seems to come and go. He denies ear drainage, fever, sinus pain, sore throat, or cough. Mark explains that the pain is worse when he is chewing and he had recent dental work. Upon examination, you do not identify ear internal or external ear abnormality or an oral or dental concern.
