The following labs were abnormal: total cholesterol 267 mg/dL, low-density lipoprotein 162 mg/dL, and high-density lipoprotein 40 mg/dL. After engaging in a clinician-patient risk discussion on the best approach for managing her lipid disorder, the patient decides on lifestyle modifications.
