Rhetorical Analysis This project asks you to identify and analyze a piece of technical writing that has been published in your field using the rhetorical tools we will review in class. In other words, think of that piece of writing as a result of a rhetorical situation and analyze how the rhetoric shaped what was written and why. That piece of writing could be a business plan, press release, annual report, or other form of technical writing. The website under Announcements on Canvas can help you get started. Once you choose what writing you wish to focus on, you need to reflect on the writing from a rhetorical perspective, analyzing how the given rhetorical situation shaped the writing. Thus, your research question-what you are trying to find out that you do not already know-is how the given rhetorical situation shaped that piece of writing. You will need to use concepts from the reading such as exigence, constraints, audience, and rhetor, among others, to support your analysis and explain how and why the writing addressed the rhetorical situation at hand. Consider the following questions as you reflect on and analyze the rhetorical situation.
