Assignment:
A sampling strategy you could use to represent the total population affected.
Electronic search is a sampling strategy that can be used to represent a total population. In efforts to reduce catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTI) researchers reviewed 25 studies to review barriers and facilitators and strategic behavioral analysis of interventions; where certain constraints were put in place to narrow the information, such as related behaviors that were performed in primary, secondary or community care or nursing homes (Atkins et al, 2020). This strategy allows for investigation to sufficiently analyze barriers and interventions of CAUTI and retrieve information that is most relevant and precise as whole as the data retrieved is sample that represents a total population for CAUTI patients at specific healthcare facilities.
A data collection method, including a short summary of its strengths, limitations, and ethical implications.
Based on the article the researchers did explain that there were several limitations to data collected from the 25 studies, for example, they were not able to obtain specific behaviors that would not allow them to identify which barriers related to specific behaviors because bundles were the focus of those studies (Atkins et al, 2020).
A summary of overall measurement reliability and validity.
In measuring of reliability and validity the data derived from the 25 studies the findings were optimistic where there was level of similarity between the studies by interpreting the level of frequency. The strategy and data collection method was appropriate for answering the research question which was to identify barriers and behaviors of interventions to better address them proactively and effectively.
How would you respond?
