Subject: Poor Working Conditions of Overseas Supplier
It has come to my attention that one of our companies major contractors has been operating with poor working conditions for its employees. This overseas supplier has been found to be operating with poor working conditions including child labor, payment of low wages, requirements of long hours, and providing no benefits.
Here at our organization, we wanted to get out in front of the situation and do our best to assure all of our stakeholders that we do not promote, encourage, or tolerate any of these poor conditions of work at our organization. Our organization has always and will always put our stakeholders, specifically our employees, first and foremost.
We have the upmost respect for our employees and have always done our best to respond positively to any of our employees questions or concerns. As we have continuously reiterated, a large part of our strategic goals include maintaining high credibility in our industry as a leader in employee satisfaction, morale, and development and anything that may negatively effect our credibility will be dealt with immediately.
With that being said, we will take the proper time to look more into this situation in order to verify that these allegations are truthful. Our organization has already sprung into action and are currently diving completely into this situation to uncover all of the facts.
We are aware that different countries have different cultural values and standards, but it is within the strategic goals of our organization to hold not only ourselves but also the companies we actively work with to the highest of ethical standards.
We consider the companies we actively work with to be a part of our family, and we will take proper actions when any member of our family takes part in any wrongdoings.
Upon further review of the situation, we have temporarily suspended all work agreements with this overseas supplier. Once our review is complete, we will take the proper steps in either continuing to work with the supplier or terminating our relationship.
As always, any questions or concerns regarding the situation at hand should be brought directly to myself or any member of our public relations team.
Thank you,
Mathew Cyr, Manager
