Question: Physical Sciences Crude oil pumped from ocean wells contains salt that must be removed before the oil is refined. Otherwise, equipment would erode quickly. Independent random samples of unrefined crude oil from two ocean wells were obtained, and the percentage of salt in each sample was recorded. The data are given in the following table.
