All of the news about healthcare access and health equity is revealing gaps and challenges in the healthcare industry. Many of these tie back to our first discussion topics. This is a high stress time for leadership in the healthcare industry. How does the knowledge you have gained this semester impact your planning for the healthcare organizations you work for, or intend to work for? Any organizational leader has to plan for the future of their department, position, and organization. What advice would you give your staff? What advice can you give your colleagues at this time?

This question is not about researching for the right answer, but about taking what you know, have learned, and what you perceive of the people (healthcare workers), and the industry and planning a course of action that you have confidence in and others can take confidence in. Nothing like a strategic plan or organizational overhaul, but take a day or two and think about what the last year has meant for the country, the world and the healthcare industry.
