Your friend and colleague just posted this to a private Facebook page that only allows APNs: "I have a 45-year-old patient with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV). She was healthy prior to this and worked at the Starbucks on the corner of Clark and Addison streets as a full-time barista. If you were ever near there, you would remember her as always smiling and happy to help. We just put her on mechanical ventilation and in a prone position. Nothing is working!! We are unsure what to do next. Does anyone have any suggestions?"
